In IVF applications, we can both increase the chances of success with the genetic diagnosis method and eliminate many possible hereditary diseases in infants. Therefore, we mostly perform genetic procedures on embryos with the 5th day. If the genetic procedures for an advanced mother’s age, or if the mother has had a miscarriage or hereditary disease . Although high quality embryos are given in a large number of IVF trials , without embryo attachment and pregnancy in these trials , we recommend applying PGS again in these couples with embryo attachment problems .
İn the PGS procedure , a few cells are taken in the embryo on the 5th day, which has reached a huge size. After the procedure, we see that the embryo maintains its smooth and healthy structure. Generally, parents are concerned that a few cells taken will cause disability in their organs such as the arms or legs of their infants. However, in this period of development, organ drafts have not been formed yet, and the cell lines that will form the arm or leg have not developed. Since all the cells are the same, the remaining ones divide rapidly and fill the place of those taken by biopsy, and there is no problem after biopsy with a perfect regeneration.
